BHC supports the "Be Smart Don't Start" Campaign

On 16 June students from the Interact Club at St Bridget's Convent visited the British High Commission as part of their campaign to discourage underage drinking and driving under the influence of alcohol.  The High Commissioner, Dr Peter Hayes, and other High Commission staff bought T-shirts with slogans promoting alcohol awareness from the students.  The funds raised from T-shirt sales will be donated to an alcohol rehabilitation centre and used to promote the Interact Club's campaign messages.

A British High Commission spokesperson said:"The students from St Bridget's Interact Club have put together an impression campaign to tackle some of the social problems associated with alcohol misuse.  Many of our staff bought campaign T-shirts and were delighted to support such a worthwhile initiative.
